Selection ProcessThere are currently only 8 places per year on the woodwind course so competition for these places can be fierce. Selection is by informal interview accompanied by a practical aptitude test. To view a sample of the aptitude test, click here. Interviews are usually arranged during term time when students are present in the workshop. This enables applicants to see classes in action and to discuss aspects of the course with those currently taking part.
Entry requirements There are no specific entry requirements for the course but it is desirable that applicants have some experience with practical or craft subjects and are able to demonstrate good hand to eye co-ordination. It is not essential that the applicant play an instrument but they will find it advantageous.
